MIDDLE SCHOOL TEACHER NEEDED
JOB TITLE: Elementary Teacher Grades 3rd-5th
LOCATION: St. Jude Indian Mission School
REPORT TO: School Administrator/Principal
TYPE: Full-Time
POSITION SUMMARY:
St. Jude Mission School is seeking a Full-time Teacher for the position as an Elementary School Teacher. The position would offer a variety of opportunities to develop professionally.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate learning experiences
*Ability to adapt to multiple grades 3rd-5th
*Prepare the classroom for class activities
*Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities
*Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
*Use relevant technology to support instruction
*Observe and evaluate student’s performance and development
*Incorporate Native American values into the classroom environment
*Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development
* Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by law, district policies, and school regulations
*Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school
*Participate in school fundraisers
*Participate in school and parent meetings
* Keep updated with developments in subject area, teaching resources and methods, and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities
*Other duties that may be assigned by the St. Jude Principal/Administrator
EDUCATION:
*BA/BS degree
*CBEST
*Can be working towards credentials
*Meet professional teacher education requirements of school, district, and state
*Single subject teaching credential or certification if teaching a specialized subject
* State Certification
EXPERIENCE:
*Experienced teachers preferred, recent graduated welcome
QUALIFICATIONS:
*Ability to maintain proficient classroom management skills
*Ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with Administrator, faculty, students, and Tribal personnel
*Catholic preferred, but not necessary/Up hold Catholic values
REQUIRED:
*A current California Driver’s License or California Identification
*Complete the pre-screen Background Clearance, Drug Testing, and fingerprinted
